This workshop session will address the key issues around accountability, monitoring and quality and how these issues impact international and private education.  Topics for discussion will include:

The impact of accountability on outcomes

What role high-stakes assessment should have in judging performance of schools

What strategies have been found to facilitate school improvement and how they can be implemented in an international or private setting

The workshop will conclude with thoughts on how forums such as IPSEF can influence how schools are held to account and what measures are appropriate
